This study focuses on the identification of factors which contributes to the evasion in distance education course from UFAL/UAB. The evasion of students in distance education course has been stated as a problem in every educational institution and also in all the educational levels. Although the importance of distance education courses as a way to develop human skills to the work, there exists few researches aim at evaluating these courses and, in particular, the evasion indices. For this reason, this study will investigate the factors that contribute in the students' decision on forsake a course that was being made through the distance education modality. Indeed, courses from the Open University of Brazil at the Federal University of Alagoas (UAB/UFAL) will be evaluated.
